It has company, institute, and individual membership status. More than 600 company members, including the world's leading food and food processing equipment manufacturers, support EHEDG activities (https://www.ehedg.org/membership/ehedg-members/). Turkey is located in the top 10 countries with more than 20 Turkish company members. In addition, more than 10 global members are in cooperation with their local companies, in EHEDG Turkey organization.

EHEDG focuses on design and engineering-based considerations that must be made to guarantee the "cleaning" of the processing line and the device/equipment/installation on the food and pharmaceutical industry before purchasing. In this context, EHEDG prepares guidelines for the criteria to be considered during the design phase and certifies equipment cleanability and provides trainings at the global level. It is represented by the Food Safety Association (GGD, http://www.ggd.org.tr/) in Turkey. Since May 2014, more than 300 participants have been trained in hygienic design and received EHEDG certifications through trainings conducted in partnership with GGD (https://www.ehedg.org/ehedg/bodies-committees/).

Ludvig Josefberg, current President of EHEDG, serves as "Senior Director" in "Tetra Pak Processing Systems". Leading companies are also represented in EHEDG Board of Directors and Advisory Board (https://www.ehedg.org/ehedg/bodies-committees/).
